About The Presentation
Title | Sloodling and Moodling in a virtual world | ||||||
Description | Looking at the (open source) Sloodle module for Moodle, specifically using it with Moodle 2.4. Sloodle stands for Simulation Linked Object Orientated Dynamic Learning Environment, and is a bridge between Second Life and Moodle. Avatars are able to interact with objects in Second Life, and the data gets transported through to the Moodle course those objects are linked with. Their avatars are linked with their Moodle accounts, so you can see which student has been doing what in Second Life. During this session you will be encouraged to join me and my avatar in Second Life and interact with the objects yourself. Sit on the quiz chair and race against others, grab yourself a free tshirt from the vending machine, and be prepared to see your name on the leaderboard! A fun way of interacting with and engaging distance learners. |
